The Mirror People (Hazyscapes #2)

$10.95

There’s nothing scarier than gazing into the darkness…only to see yourself gazing back.

"The Mirror People reads like a chill wind at your back, keeping pages turning swiftly. I loved how the story combines the Gothic with the Modern in the most strangely creepy ways. The tightly plotted twists are sure to have you questioning what you see in the shadows. Don’t be surprised if you start jumping at the sight of your own reflection…or the wide-eyed figure standing right behind you!"
—#1 New York Times Bestselling author Dan Poblocki

“Kyle Sullivan mixes the paranormal with his gift for engaging young minds as only he can do.”

—Jim Harold, Host of The Paranormal Podcast and Jim Harold's Campfire

Confined to her high-tech Silicon Valley mansion by a rare, untreatable condition, Linnda Thomas has always suspected her life was stranger than most. And that was before her creepy doppelgänger started slinking around her bedroom.

When this disturbing paranormal entity emerges from the shadows looking and sounding exactly like Linnda, the twelve-year-old is forced to unravel a mind-bending mystery that will forever transform her understanding of life itself.

Book #2 of the Hazyscapes middle-grade speculative fiction anthologyThe Mirror People is a thrilling, futuristic vision of lurking doppelgängers, uncanny technology, and one girl’s pursuit of the truth, even as her reality splinters apart with each mounting revelation.

Reviews and Accolades

[Select praise for Hazyscapes #1: Bigfoot vs. Aliens]:

"A riveting fantasy novel in which love and empathy overcome differences to give Earth’s inhabitants the strength to face major obstacles."
—Foreword Reviews

"A fun, engrossing read."
—Jon Schafle, Huntsville-Madison County Public Library

When I tell you that this novel has everything, I truly mean it. Cryptids, aliens, forest spirits, humans, ESP, telekinesis, lasers, time travel, and a cat named Eureka—it’s all there. A cinematic and suspenseful adventure. Kyle Sullivan’s writing is fantastic; telling the tale though Bigfoot was an inspired choice. This will be a fun one to share with our young readers and I am definitely hoping to see further adventures featuring Bigfoot and Lou.”
—Douglas J. Beatty, Baltimore County Public Library
