—Foreword Reviews

“When I tell you that this novel has everything, I truly mean it. Cryptids, aliens, forest spirits, humans, ESP, telekinesis, lasers, time travel, and a cat named Eureka—it’s all there. A cinematic and suspenseful adventure. Kyle Sullivan’s writing is fantastic.”

If you love Bigfoot and are fascinated by the thought of UFOs, you need to read this book.

When silver spaceships invade the forest skies, a Bigfoot must emerge from the shadows to join forces with the planet’s most dangerous species: humans.

Grey aliens have destroyed the city, forcing humans to flee into the dense mountain forest. From afar, a Bigfoot warily observes the human intruders and the silent silver discs that follow. But when the Bigfoot is enlisted by an ancient forest spirit to protect a gifted human child, the reclusive cryptid must team up with the boy and his cat in a desperate attempt to save the planet from a powerful extraterrestrial threat. Told from the Bigfoot’s first-person perspective, this fast-paced adventure is packed with shocking twists, terrifying encounters, and direct insight into the heart and mind of North America’s most famous cryptid creature.

Bigfoot vs. Aliens kicks off the Hazyscapes middle-grade series, a surreal and thrilling anthology of speculative fiction. Each book plunges readers into unbelievable circumstances, with unforgettable creatures and unbridled adventure. Each page-turning story features bizarre, disturbing and paranormal situations, as well as light moral explorations of a range of topics including environmentalism, consumerism and artificial intelligence.

Reviews and Accolades

"Two beings forge an unusual friendship to save Earth from a dangerous enemy in Kyle Sullivan’s fantasy novel Bigfoot vs. Aliens.

An unnamed bipedal creature of advanced intelligence enjoys a life of solitude in the forest that he shares in harmony with the animals. He uses his smarts, including the ability to project his thoughts and feelings into the minds of other creatures, to maintain a peaceful environment and protect the other inhabitants of his home.

When strange beings arrive from the sky and humans seek shelter in the creature’s once isolated habitat, he is forced to reckon with his disgust over human behavior and his desire to save his forest and Earth at large. To do so, he will have to do what his kind has never done: seek out contact with a human child, Louis, and work with him to save the world.

The creature, who’s identified as a bigfoot by Louis and dubbed Tahoma, forges a bond with Louis over their shared telepathic powers. Tahoma shows Louis how to hone his abilities and connect with the energy of the world around him. Through Louis, Tahoma learns that humans are more than the nuisance he once believed. Together, they embark on a perilous mission to save Louis’s mother, leading them to face the terrible truth about the sky predators’ intentions.

Tahoma’s relationship with Louis evolves from one of compelled responsibility into genuine love. He comes to view the boy as what humans can be at their best: empathetic, kind, and compassionate. Tahoma discovers that, like the nature around him, these qualities are precious resources that must be protected at all costs.

Bigfoot vs. Aliens is a riveting fantasy novel in which love and empathy overcome differences to give Earth’s inhabitants the strength to face major obstacles."
—Foreword Reviews

"Bigfoot vs. Aliens is a fun, engrossing read that expands on paranormal lore in interesting new ways. Kyle Sullivan introduces us to a vibrant world through the eyes of Bigfoot, giving us front-row access to the mind of the most well-known cryptid."
—Jon Schafle, Huntsville-Madison County Public Library

When I tell you that this novel has everything, I truly mean it. Cryptids, aliens, forest spirits, humans, ESP, telekinesis, lasers, time travel, and a cat named Eureka—it’s all there. A cinematic and suspenseful adventure. Kyle Sullivan’s writing is fantastic; telling the tale though Bigfoot was an inspired choice. This will be a fun one to share with our young readers and I am definitely hoping to see further adventures featuring Bigfoot and Lou.”
—Douglas J. Beatty, Baltimore County Public Library
